Buckets - types 

Steel buckets:

  • pressed steel/seamless in galvanized and stainless steel versions
  • welded

Galvanized steel – thermal resistance of continuous operation +180 ° C / short-term 200 ° C

Stainless steel - thermal resistance of continuous operation +250 ° C / short-term 400 ° C

Pressed steel buckets can be equipped with additional reinforcements of the front or rear wall of the bucket and with perforation.

Plastic buckets, made by injection:

  • polyamide/nylon (PA) thermal resistance -40/+100-120 (+130) C
  • polyethylene (PE HDP) thermal resistance -50/+70 (+80) C
  • polyurethane (PU) thermal resistance -15/+70 (+80) C

Polyamide – application: hot, abrasion, dry products.

Polyethylene - universal use. Recommended for food products, cereals (barley, oats, wheat, rice), beans, coffee, flour, sugar, seeds, fertilizer, sawdust.

Polyurethane – application: dry, sticky, abrasive, moist products.

Dimensioning of the bucket

To select the bucket, it is required to properly dimension it, which consists in taking several dimensions specified below.

 

A – bucket width [mm]

B – bucket radius [mm]

C – height of the back wall of the bucket (wall with holes) [mm]

D – height of the front wall of the bucket [mm]

F - spacing between the holes [mm] and the number of holes in the bucket

E - hole diameter [mm]

T – material thickness [mm]

Z3 - capacity of the bucket measured in liters (the so-called water level)
