Habasit Cleandrive™ monolithic belts are a range of extruded, homogeneous belts available in widths up to 1.8m.
Monolithic conveyor belts made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) reinforced with aramid have been developed for the safe and hygienic transport of food.
They cover a wide range of applications and are produced in two versions:
- Gear driven positive drive
- Pulley driven friction drive
The monolithic construction of our belts mainly appeals to customers in the food industry, who are subject to stringent hygiene requirements, while delivering exceptional performance and economy.
Safe hygienic performance
Monolithic belts are produced using the highest quality TPU. They are characterized by exceptional durability and resistance to hydrolysis and are inherently resistant to microbial attack. The belt is designed to withstand the most aggressive cleaning methods and chemicals. They are able to operate in a wide range of temperatures: from low temperatures in freezers to high, e.g. in fryers.
Monolithic construction of the belt
The fully extruded monolithic structure of the belt has no fabric elements that could fray during belt operation, thus posing a threat to the safety of transported and processed food.
The compact and at the same time flexible construction of the belt is devoid of holes, connecting rods and slots. This solution makes monolithic belts easy to clean and maintain hygienic standards.
Food safety
Habasit Cleandrive™ complies with current EU and national regulations for conveyor belts in direct contact with food.
The aramid-reinforced webbing construction guarantees tensile strength ensuring dimensional stability. This extends the life of the belt due to the reliable meshing of the sprocket and its anti-slip effect. These features reduce belt wear, ease maintenance, and reduce service and emergency downtime.
The cord is completely embedded in the thermoplastic, thus posing no risk to food safety.

Friction drive belts
The Habasit Cleandrive monolithic friction drive belt with aramid fiber reinforcement offers far greater benefits than traditional conveyor belts in dry and wet applications.
The flexible and robust design allows the smallest pulley diameters to be used, thus minimizing product damage and waste in narrow aisles.
Technology
In the case of friction drive belts, there is no shape coupling with the pulley. The drive force is transmitted from the motor to the belt by the pulley, and the power transmission is provided by the friction between the pulley and the belt surface.
Forced drive belts
To maintain dimensional stability, the Habasit Cleandrive belt design includes aramid cord reinforcement. This results in consistent and reliable sprocket engagement, resulting in less belt wear, less maintenance and less downtime.
Zero tension means no additional forces are required other than the tension provided by the belt's own weight to keep the drive rods properly seated in the sprockets.
Technology
Shaping-coupled drive belts are driven by gears and protrusions or teeth spaced along the entire width of the belt with a predetermined pitch or by means of lugs. Grips are transverse, discontinuous drive bars that are spaced at specific distances along the running side of the belt to provide self-guidance.
